I’ve always been a Disney Channel kid! Even as an adult today, I still love Disney Channel. So every now and then Riah and I plop ourselves on the couch and binge watch a Disney Channel series, or watch a few episodes while eating. But while some of the shows she loves annoy me to death, I absolutely love watching these 5 shows mentioned below with her! But since we don’t have cable, we don’t get to watch as much as we’d like. Thankfully Disney Plus has made our lives better! So here are 5 of the best Disney Channel shows currently streaming on Disney Plus.
5 Of The Best Disney Channel Shows Currently Streaming On Disney Plus
1. Secrets of Sulphur Springs
Secrets of Sulphur Springs is definitely my fave of this entire list! It’s about a 12-year-old boy and his thrill-seeking classmate who discover a secret portal that allows them to travel back in time and uncover clues about a mystery involving a girl who disappeared decades ago from a Louisiana town. It’s one of the best Disney Channel shows I’ve ever seen!
2. Big City Greens
Big City Greens is literally hilarious, and til this day Riah answers her grandfather’s phone by saying “Honey Belle Sweet Tea, how rich are you”. My uncle laughs every freaking time. (And he’s never seen the show!) However, Big City Greens is all about, Cricket Green, a mischievous but optimistic country boy who moves to the big city along with his family.
3. K. C. Undercover
High-school student K.C. Cooper is a math whiz with a black belt in karate. A normal teen otherwise, her life changes when her parents, Craig and Kira, recruit her to be a spy in a secret government agency known as The Organization.
Along with her parents and younger siblings Ernie and Judy — the latter is a humanoid robot — K.C. must balance a civilian existence with undercover missions designed to save the world.
As K.C. goes about spying, she must keep the newfound career a secret from best friend Marisa.
And I absolutely love that this series stars a Black girl as a smart, and capable young woman! Plus it’s super entertaining!
4. Raven’s Home
If you grew up watching That’s So Raven, like I did, you probably already know what this show is like. However, Raven’s no longer a kid! Now a divorced mother of two, Raven Baxter still catches glimpses of the future. She uses her power to help her be a better mother, a successful fashion designer and a good friend.
But she’s not the only member of her family who can see the future. Her son Booker has inherited the ability from her, using it to help him make sense of middle school and his new family life. Their visions sometimes collide, but they always figure things out together.
Also living in the Baxter house are Booker’s no-nonsense twin sister Nia and free-spirited Chelsea, Raven’s childhood best friend, who is the divorced mother of Levi, who is savvy and wise beyond his years. Raven and Chelsea work together to help raise their children.
5. Sydney to the Max
I only recently found out about Sydney to the Max, and I haven’t seen all of the episodes. At first I was a tad bit confused about the characters, but after a full watch it all began to make sense!
Basically … there are three generations under one roof! Outgoing middle school student Sydney Reynolds lives with her single dad, Max, and progressive grandmother, Judy.
Living in the house where her father grew up, Sydney’s preteen pursuits begin to expand and broaden with unexpected and hilarious twists. Grandma’s razor-sharp memory and wit remind Max that Sydney’s antics are mirrored by his and his best friend Leo’s antics.
As Max tries to get a better sense of his daughter, his mother is full of parental wisdom and wisecracks to help Max and Sydney with the support they need.
P.s – The grandmother in this series is the same actress who plays one of the aunt’s in Sabrina the Teenage Witch!
(You’ll have to check out the series to find out which aunt!)
So there you have it!
