Camp Warner Bros Week 5: Teen Titans Week

So for Camp Warner Bros Week 5, my daughter watched the Teen Titans Go! Vs. Teen Titans movie. I’ve been super, duper, busy these last few weeks so I haven’t been able to sit and watch these movies with her.

But I did get to watch a few minutes of the movie with her the morning after she watched it. We watched it during breakfast because she was DYING to watch it again.

We’re big Teen Titans fans, and honestly, I don’t even remember how she got into the show. (It was probably my sister’s fault!) But Riah has been watching Teen Titans Go! so damn much now that her grandparents roll their eyes and ask her if there’s nothing else to watch.

We also haven’t done the activity yet, but I plan on doing it with her soon because I’m excited to see what it’ll look like! Plus she LOVES Starfire! She was just talking like her today! And since she’s always collecting coins from me, I think she’ll love having a new money bank.

All the instructions are below if you’d like to participate as well.

About the Teen Titans Go! Vs. Teen Titans movie

In Teen Titans Go! Vs. Teen Titans, the comedic modern-day quintet takes on their 2003 counterparts when villains from each of their worlds join forces to pit the two Titan teams against each other.

They’ll need to set aside their differences and work together to combat Trigon, Hexagon, Santa Claus (that’s right, Santa!), and time itself in order to save the universe.

While chores can be a bore – unless your kid is crazy like mine and LOVES helping to wash the dishes, or doing her own laundry, you can always create small incentives to help your campers learn about the value of the dollar, and working hard for something they really want.

Just a few days ago I posted on Twitter about how we went to Target and my daughter ended up buying a nail dryer that came with nail polish for herself, with her own money. She’s only 8, but she’s been earning and saving money for years now! And every now and then we go outside, and I make sure she brings a few dollars with her in case there’s something she wants.

I’ve taught her how to save, how to go to the counter and order something she wants, how to pay for her own items, you name it! The only thing she needs to work on now is counting her change and making sure it’s right! But we’re getting there.

However – Summer is the perfect time to teach budgeting and saving to help set them up for their future.

And if they feel like being real Super Heroes – they can even do chores for charity – and have them donate to a cause that can save someone else’s Universe!

Use these materials to create your own character money banks.

Anywho … Riah will have her review up soon! But until then …
