On Friday, I watched Steven Universe: The Movie for the second time, by myself and I liked it a lot. (We watched the movie thanks to Camp Warner Bros, you can click here for more information about Camp.) Here’s my full review of Steven Universe: The Movie for kids.

Steven Universe: The Movie is about …

A boy named Steven. The Diamonds asked Steven to live with them because he reminds them of his mom. But he said no because he wanted to stay on earth with his friends and have a happily ever after. Then the supervillain Spinel brings a machine to kill Steven.

But I’m sorry you guys, I can’t tell you any more about Steven Universe: The Movie because I like to spoil things and I don’t want to spoil the movie for you and your family if you haven’t watched it yet.

Steven Universe: The Movie Made Me Feel ….

Happy – When …

I was happy throughout almost the entire movie.

Scared – When …

I was scared when Spinel was trying to kill Steven.

My favorite song was …

When they mixed the songs “Here We Are In The Future” and “I Can Make A Change” together because I love both of those songs.

My least favorite song was …

Spinel’s song, which is called “Other Friends”, because she’s the villain. But I still liked it because it’s catchy and it literally gets stuck in my brain.

I  liked it…

When Steven saves the universe. I liked this part the best because that’s when Spinel becomes a good girl and she makes a new friend.

I disliked it…

When Spinel tried to hurt Steven. I didn’t like that part because Spinel only wanted to be friends with Steven but she was still too sad, angry, and confused to try to be his friend.

Steven Universe: The Movie taught me …

not to hold on to your anger. In the movie, Spinel was angry because Steven’s mother left her in a floating garden in space! She was so angry, she wanted to kill Steven! But Spinel shouldn’t have held onto her anger because she was trying to make a new friend. Her anger stopped her from making a new friend because she was making them all scared. If she didn’t hold on to her anger, she would have made new friends easily!

I would recommend this to my friends and other kids because …

It is a really good movie and it has really good songs! Even the villain song is good.

I would watch this again because …

It teaches an important lesson and it’s a great movie.

Enjoy,

Love, Sariah (I hope you love it.)
